Eric oversees and contributes to the delivery of our services and solutions to provide the highest possible value to our clients. His forte is finding simplified solutions to complex problems not only for our clients but within our company as well. While his role is very customer-focused, he wears many hats at Seiso including consultant, manager, leader, coach, and mentor. He has always valued being thorough and quick-moving at the same time and solving small problems before they morph into big ones.
Eric is also a believer in integrating the security mindset and best practices into every aspect of his business and personal life to achieve a higher level of efficiency, privacy, and productivity overall.
He is active in the Pittsburgh information security community through his co-organizer role at BSidesPGH and running the people-focused podcast, Reddup Security. He is also an active CISSP, CMMC-RP, MS Azure Security Engineer, and AWS Community Builder, and a member of the InfraGuard, OWASP, and ISC^2 Pittsburgh Chapters.
Prior to joining Seiso, LLC, Eric spent much of his career working in the Heavy Civil Construction & Engineering industry as an Information Technology professional. He began his career as a help desk technician and network administrator before moving into the management and security operations arena. Eric is the former co-founder and principal consultant of Black Bear Information Security, an information security services provider focused on small business architecture.
After receiving an associate degree in computer forensics and network security from the Pittsburgh Technical Institute, he attained a bachelor’s degree in information systems management from Robert Morris University
Outside of work, he volunteers for the Three Rivers Adaptive Sports, plays ice hockey, spends time with family and friends, and enjoys expanding his knowledge of business management, cybersecurity, project management, and organizational risk management.
